Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Thimble & Bear. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of my website and the purchase of my handcrafted keepsake bears. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. Custom Orders and Materials
Customer Clothing: You must provide clean clothing/fabric for your keepsake bear. I reserve the right to reject fabric that is heavily soiled, hazardous, or completely unsuitable for sewing.
Variations: Each keepsake bear is handmade and unique. Final products will vary in appearance based on the texture, stretch, and pattern of the fabric you provide.
Leftover Fabric: Unless explicitly requested otherwise at the time of ordering, any small fabric scraps remaining after construction will be disposed of and not returned.
2. Turnaround Times and Delivery
Processing Time: Estimated creation times start only after I have received your fabric, not from the date of payment. Turnaround times are estimates and may vary during peak seasons. I will always endeavour to keep you fully informed of my lead times.
Shipping: I use Royal Mail Special Delivery service which is tracked and insured. I am not responsible for delivery delays or items lost in transit once dispatched, however I will always provide tracking details in all circumstances.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
There are no Refunds on Custom Items: Because each keepsake bear is fully customised using your personal materials, orders cannot be refunded or exchanged once I begin your order.
Cancellations: You may cancel your order for a full refund only if you have not yet sent your fabric. If you cancel after sending fabric but before production starts, you must pay for the return postage of your items
4. Safety Warning
Thimble & Bear Keepsakes ARE NOT TOYS: They are decorative ornaments intended for display purposes only, they do not carry the CE/UKCA safety marks required for children's playthings. They may contain small parts (like safety eyes or joints) that pose a choking hazard. Keep out of reach of children.
5. Privacy and Data Handling
Data Minimisation: In line with my Privacy Policy, your contact details and shipping address are held only to process your order.
Erasure: All of your personal identifiable data is permanently deleted from our active customer systems once your bear is successfully delivered.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales 2026.
